West Branch Creative Arts Association
West Branch Creative Arts Association (WBCAA) was founded in 1971 by Bernice Banghart and a group of artists who organized an Art Show every year over the 4th of July. It became a non-profit organization that same year.
Mission Statement: To promote, encourage and develop arts and crafts talents. To provide members a facility and friendly environment in which to work, display and sell their products. To continue to encourage participation and appreciation of arts and various crafts by all citizens in the area.
WBCAA purchased their present building on Fourth Street in 1977. This gave them the opportunity to sponsor the following events:
Fourth Street Gift Shop and Gallery (formerly the Christmas Shop)
Heritage Days Art Show
Youth Art Show
Victorian Art Fair
Hospice of Helping Hands Quilt Show
Cookies on Parade
Sunrise Art Show at the Medical Arts Center
